When I entered medical school, I had a vision of practicing medicine in a smaller town in Kansas and providing a broad range of medical services to my community.  After testing the waters in the third year of medical school, I knew that family medicine was the field for me.  I chose Middlesex Hospital because of the flexibility of the program, its prime location in New England, and of course, the great people who work here.  As an added benefit, this residency provides excellent experience in the growing field of alternative medicine; a boast few programs can make.  Through this Middlesex Hospital, I’ve found a small town in which to run a clinic (East Hampton, CT), a community hospital with a large catchment, and the intimate training in every field I’ll need as a rural family practitioner.
