Medicine has always been something that is holistic in nature to me; it encompasses the physical, mental, and social health of a patient and how they intertwine. Intrinsic to Family Medicine especially, in my mind, is the practice of preventative measures in addition to the building of long-lasting relationships with one’s patients, both things I very much enjoy. I also enjoy studying women’s health and complementary and alternative options to Western medicine. I feel that Middlesex's Family Medicine Residency Program encourages strong physician-patient relationships, and emphasizes prevention and open-mindedness in its teaching of the practice of medicine, as well as individuality; consequently, I find it to be a wonderful opportunity to be able to continue my training here.
