Growing up in Boston, Dr. Marquez was struck by the impact physicians can have on the lives of children through mentorship. During residency she participated in our Global Health track and provided medical care in the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and Rwanda. She was a popular teacher during residency and received the AFMRD Scholarship Award, recognizing her prodigious output of scholarly projects. After graduation she joined the full time faculty at the SUNY Downstate Family Medicine Residency Program, where she provides both inpatient, outpatient, and prenatal care.
