Why did I choose Middlesex?
I rotated here at the beginning of my 4th year of medical school, and Middlesex set the standard for what I wanted out of a Family Medicine residency. I wanted to be in an unopposed program, and I liked the 4 year curriculum which allows for further exploration of my passions within medicine.
About my track and future goals…
I was drawn to Family Medicine for the broad scope of training, so I can be prepared to work in any setting with any population at any time. That being said, I have special interests in Maternal Child Health, as well as Integrative and Functional Medicine. Coming from an Osteopathic background, addressing a patient’s mind, body, and spirit is extremely important to me as well as investigating the root cause of a patient's ailments.
When I’m not on call I’m…
Living my best granny life - hiking, reading, knitting/crocheting, or tinkering with my garden!
A fun fact or two about me…
I lived in Anchorage, Alaska for 5 years and consider it to be my second home. Also, I’m probably the only person you’ll ever meet who has both a medical license and a cosmetology license.
