After eight years in Boston, one of the major reasons Dr. Williams chose Middlesex was a desire to "come home" to live and work near friends and family. He participated in our Academics and Leadership Track of Excellence, completing a Masters in Medical Education at Lake Erie College of Medicine. His scholarly activity focused on the development, implementation, and assessment of a standardized sign-out curriculum for the residency program. He presented his work at several national meetings, and the curriculum is now being rolled out through other hospital departments. After graduation he entered practice with Middlesex Health Primary Care in Cromwell, Connecticut joining four of our other graduates; here, he provided inpatient and outpatient care as well as a growing procedural practice. After three years of experience in the "real world," he returned to our residency program as a full-time faculty member.
