We've been teaching family medicine since 1973 and have turned out almost 300 of the brightest, most talented, and most dedicated family physicians around. In 2007 we took the next step in our evolution and became a nation model for innovation in graduate medical education when we developed the nation's first comprehensive 4 year curriculum in Family Medicine as part of the Preparing the Personal Physician for Practice (P4) initiative.
Today we are viewed as a national leader in the field. Our curriculum was the model for the next generation of four year residencies through the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Length of Training Pilot. We will participate through 2022, informing the future of residency training in Family Medicine.
